Mohammad Ishaque Sarwari – Managing Director for BestWays and 7Jewelry, Ontario, Canada
Mohammad Ishaque Sarwari founded BestWays with a clear mission: to help people “Feel Good, Look Good.” With more than 20 years of diverse leadership experience across economic development, aviation, construction, and international business, he brings a rare blend of expertise, innovation, and passion for wellness.
Ishaque began his career in economic policy and development, serving as Fiscal Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan, and later as Country Economist with the Asian Development Bank, where he authored reports on fiscal management, private sector reform, and Afghanistan’s economic outlook. His work extended to the Afghanistan National Assembly as Program Officer for budget and policy support, and as National Consultant for the Asian Development Bank, where he provided advisory expertise in the transport sector.
He then transitioned into senior leadership roles, including CEO of Onyx Construction Company, where he managed over $300 million in projects, and Commercial Director (Deputy CEO) of Ariana Afghan Airlines, where he successfully led operations, sales, and international expansion strategies.
In the U.S., Ishaque co-founded ShopMD LLC, a medical tourism company in Virginia, before moving to Canada, where he established 7Jewelry in Toronto in 2016. Under his leadership, 7Jewelry grew into a recognized jewelry brand, blending fashion with quality craftsmanship. This decade-long experience in the jewelry industry now powers his vision at BestWays, where he integrates style, wellness, and innovation into products and services that empower people to look good and feel good every day.
Beyond his business achievements, Ishaque is a multilingual professional fluent in English, Arabic, Dari/Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu. He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics with distinction from the International Islamic University in Islamabad, and has completed advanced training with institutions such as the IMF, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank.
Through BestWays, Ishaque continues to inspire communities worldwide, combining his global leadership, economic insight, and entrepreneurial drive to make wellness and style accessible to everyone.
